About the Club

Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club is a private club based on the internationally renown Paraparaumu Beach Links. Visiting golfers are welcomed.

The Course

Paraparaumu Beach Links is rated as the best course in the country and currently stands at 79 in the latest Golf Magazine's 1999 world ranking of courses. It has been the venue for 12 New Zealand Golf Opens and numerous other major tournaments.

Facilities

The club has a well equipped clubrooms with locker rooms, bar and restaurant. The bar is open every day other than Tuesday's in Winter, normally from mid afternoon. The restaurant is open seven days for breakfast and lunch. The clubhouse is open seven days from 08:00a.m to 6:00 p.m. Special arrangements can be made for visiting groups by contacting the club office.

Location

The links are located at 376 Kapiti Road Paraparaumu Beach on the Kapiti Coast, approximately 40 minutes drive from downtown Wellington in off peak traffic.

Weather

The weather on the Kapiti Coast is generally warmer and more settled than Wellington. The course is exposed to the prevailing westerly wind which can make play an interesting experience. Typically daytime temperatures would average 20oC/68F in summer and 10-12oC/50oF-54oF in winter.
