QUEENSTOWN GOLF CLUB
Kelvin Heights, Queenstown, New Zealand

Queenstown Golf Club

In its short history, Queenstown's Kelvin Heights has gained a reputation as New Zealand’s most scenic course, and, therefore, one of the most scenic courses in the world. Flanked by dramatic, serrated ridges like Queenstown’s aptly named Remarkables and the deep blue of Lake Wakatipu, the hilly plateau and lakeside course offers ever-changing vistas that beg to be photographed.

Course comments

With no sand, very little water, relatively short distances, fairly open tee shots, few blind approaches, lush, irrigated fairways, reasonable greens, low prices, and fantastic scenery, Queenstown Golf Club's Kelvin Heights course offers one of New Zealand’s best golfing experiences.

It gets better. Even on the finest of days the course remains uncrowded, despite being open to visitors seven days a week in what must be the outdoor sports capital of New Zealand.

The Queenstown Golf Club opened its Kelvin Heights course in April, 1975. In the quarter-century that has followed the course has matured, with the growth of its many native pines closing in the fairways somewhat, making it necessary to stay on the fairways in order to score well here. Motorized golf carts available.

Kelvin Heights: Holes 18 - Par 72 - Length 5898 metres - Coolabar category 4 parkland.
